Taliban have claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing aimed at foreign targets here that left four militants dead and three injured, the media reported Thursday.

At least four militants were killed and three others injured in the suicide bombing at a guest house of foreigners known as Green Village in the eastern part of Kabul Wednesday, Xinhua reported citing a Kabul Police statement.

Four suicide bombers driving an explosive-laden car targeted the guest house, the statement said.

"One of the attackers blew up himself inside the car next to the gate of the guest house, enabling three others to open fire in an attempt to enter the compound but they were killed in exchange of fire with the security personnel," the statement said.

Two foreign citizens and a local guard of the compound were injured in the attack.
Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, insisted that the militants inflicted huge number of casualties on Afghan and foreigners during the attack.

General Mohammad Ayub Salangi, deputy minister for interior affairs, confirmed that one of the attackers was killed in his blast and three others were killed during fire exchange of fire with the security personnel.

A similar suicide attack on a private company at the same place Tuesday killed five people, including two security guards and three attackers.
