Ayurveda for diabetic care

 The two-day national seminar on ayurveda and diabetes, that began at The Art of Living International Center in the City on Sunday, discussed solutions for  diabetic complications related to eyes, nerves and ulcers.

Experts in the field and over 1,000 doctors and students participated in the meeting aimed at reviving the use of ayurveda as a first option for diabetic care. The event was hosted by Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital.

The evening session was presided by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder, The Art of Living and Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State for AYUSH. A new Ayurvedic drug for diabetes “Mehantakavati” was also launched.

Prof Manoranjan Sahu, Dean, Faculty of Ayurveda, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; Dr Sathyanarayan Bhat, Principal, Ayurveda Medical College, Manipal attended.
