Chain snatchers strike again in City

 Three people were robbed of their gold ornaments in two incidents in Rajagopalanagar police limits on Sunday morning, in a span of ten minutes.

According to the police, two bike-borne men snatched away gold valuables from Marribette Gowda and his wife, residents of Brindavan Layout, who were on their way to a temple in Nelamanagala, around 4.45 am.

Threatened at knife-point

The two brandished stopped the couple, brandished a knife before the couple asking them to handover their valuables. The frightened couple gave away their 16-gram gold necklace, 12-gram chain, six-gram finger ring and 10-gram bracelet.

In a similar incident, two men on a bike snatched away 16-gram gold chain from Krishnamurthy, a resident of Srigandhanagar, who was on his way to Male Mahadeshwara Hills.

A senior police officer said that both the incidents have taken place in close proximity.
It is suspected that the same persons have committed the crime, as the modus operandi is similar in both cases. Rajagopalanagar police launched a search for the suspects.
