A sub-inspector attached to the Chickpet traffic police station has been suspended for permitting parking of vehicles on BVK Iyengar Road where parking is banned.
Hiregowda was found guilty of permitting parking on the stretch in violation of the rules.
Based on a complaint, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic-west) S Girish visited the spot on Wednesday and found that the sub-inspector was indeed guilty.
Noticing the dereliction of duty by Hiregowda, the DCP recommended his suspension, said the police.
