JOIN USHistory-sheeter, Mallesh, from Banaswadi, was seriously wounded in an attack by his rivals near a bar close to the Tin Factory in Mahadevapura on Tuesday.
Mallesh, a history-sheeter at the Indiranagar police station, was assaulted by rivals with machetes outside the bar. He had gone to the bar, along with friends, and had drinks.
Just as he stepped out, a group of men drove a car to the place and attacked him with assault weapons before disappearing in no time. Mallesh managed to escape their clutches and go into the bar where his friends were stunned to see him bleeding. They rushed him to a hospital where doctors said his condition was critical, the police said. According to the police, several cases were registered against Mallesh and he was recently released on bail. They suspect the attack to be an act of revenge.
