<p>One of the two police constables who gang-raped a minor inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun district a few days ago was apprehended near Bareilly railway station in the state.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Avanish Yadav, who was absconding after perpetrating the crime, was arrested late on Monday night from the station road area while trying to catch a train and flee, according to police sources here.<br /><br />Avanish was produced before a local court in Budaun on Tuesday, which sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.<br /><br />The other accused, constable Veerpal Yadav, continued to be at large. <br /><br />The Uttar Pradesh government has already dismissed the two constables and suspended six others, including the in-charge of the Musajhag police station where the incident took place.<br /><br />The two constables had abducted the 14-year-old victim when she stepped out of her house on Wednesday night and gang-raped her at the police quarters. The cops, who were in an inebriated state, dumped the minor at her village after her condition deteriorated.</p>
