Karnataka continue to sparkle

Karnataka eves continued their winning run as they posted a convincing win over Madhya Bharat on the third day of the 48th Senior National Kho-Kho Championship at here on Friday.

The hosts got the better off Madhya Bharat by 8 points and an innings to keep their title hopes alive.

In the men’s section, defending champions Railways Sports PB had a good outing, winning both their league matches. Railways beat Gujarat by 16 points and an innings and then went on to defeat Manipur by 27 points and an innings.

In the women’s section, the 2014 champions Kerala registered two wins.

Assam; Goa bt Himachal Pradesh by 15 pts and an inning; Madhya Bharat bt Jammu & Kashmir by 11 pts and an inning; Jhakrkhand bt Uttarakhand by 8 pts and an inning; Bihar w.o. Tripura; Tamil Nadu bt Nagaland by 30 pts and an inning; Uttar Pradesh bt Madhya Pradesh by 6 pts and an inning; Gujarat w.o. A&N Island;

Maharashtra bt Haryana by 10 pts and inning; Chandigarh w.o. Assam; Kolhapur bt Telangana by 1 pt; Railway Sports PB bt Manipur by 27 pts and an inning.

Women: Karnataka bt Madhya Bharat by 8 pts and an inning; Kerala bt Goa by 23 pts and an inning; Gujarat w.o. A&N Island; Himachal Pradesh w.o. Sikkim;

Uttarakhand w.o. Assam; Chandigarh bt Rajasthan by 12 pts and an inning; Jharkhand bt Jammu & Kashmir by 9 pts and an inning; Uttar Pradesh bt Manipur by 2 pts and an inning;  Bihar drew with Madhya Pradesh 4-4; Kerala bt Chhattisgarh by 16 pts and an innings; Maharashtra bt Haryana by 10 pts and innings; Maharashtra bt Telangana by 8 pts and an inning.
