The year 2014 brought with it a range of video games that have left gamers all around the world awestruck. Labels like Far Cry 4, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Middle-earth:

Shadow of Mordor, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Dragon Age Inquisition, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes sent shockwaves in the world of gaming with their life-like graphics and brilliant storyboarding. One would assume that these would be enough to satisfy even the most ardent of gamers. However, it has only gone on to whet their appetite for even more. Here is a look at the most awaited games of 2015.

Microsoft Halo V: Guardians — This brainchild of Microsoft is set to release only for Xbox One, to allow a more efficient use of the console’s dedicated servers. It is also rumoured to have pushed the game’s engine to limits never reached before along with a vast arsenal of futuristic weaponry at the disposal of the players. If that was not enough, Steven Speilberg is also working on a television series that is expected to air this year in conjunction with the game’s release later this year.

Rise of the Tomb Raider—Lady daredevil Lara Croft returns yet again on the platforms of Xbox One and 360 exclusively under the guidance of Crystal Dynamics
developers to bring the sequel to last year’s reboot of the Tomb Raider Franchise.

Mortal Kombat X — Nether Realm studios is responsible for bringing the warriors of the classic franchise ‘Mortal Kombat’, which first came to the masses in 1992. With fluidic game play and whole new array of fatalities, Mortal Kombat X (ex and not the Roman numeral) promises to please all those who play it, especially the avid fans, with the options of variety in the costumes of the characters, which also affects their powers.
Scorpion, for example, can come in the Ninjutsu fighting form, a form that indulges in pyrotechnics and another that allows him to control demons to attack
the opponent with voodoo. Slated to release on Microsoft Windows, PS 4 and Xbox
One.

Star Wars: Battlefront – Coinciding with the release of the revamped ‘Star Wars’ movie is the title Star Wars: Battlefront by EA Games and its subsidiaries BioWare, DICE and Visceral Games with maps of the planet Hoth and the moon of Endor as the playing destination. Set to release along with J J Abrams’ film ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, it seems as though it will be double the delight for all fans of this franchise.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Serving as a sequel to last year’s much acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, this action-adventure stealth game from the stables of Kojima Productions and Konami, is set to take the breath away of players as it marks the first open-world adventure in the history of the franchise. Another plus for it is that it is set to be released on all platforms.
