You may be facing a major crisis at this time. If you are secretly seeing someone, a friend may ‘accidentally’ find out and not be able to keep it to herself.

This month maybe a little slower than you would like it to be, but keep in mind that this is just a phase that will soon pass by.”

Sounds familiar? These are the mundane horoscopes we see and tend to base our daily abstractions over.

Diplomacy seems to be the foundation for these on-paper foretellings. A few predictions are beyond the hopes of accuracy and simply come across as rhetoric. Around the City, the take on horoscopes, was surprisingly unpredictable. The idea of horoscopes was tugged by both ends of the spectrum.

“I often read them when I’m bored; to kill time. If they had to come true for a certain zodiac sign, everyone else would run out of luck,” said Jerry an IT professional.

On the same lines, Neel, a budding photographer, who doesn’t have high regards for horoscopes, said, “We create our own destiny, horoscopes would kill the excitement of life if they even came true.”

When optimistic ideas are expressed through horoscopes, the human mind is such that it makes various connections as the day prolongs and attributes it to the prediction.
Another aspect horoscopes talk of is the attempted matchmaking.

Soumya, a strong believer of horoscopes, is more inclined to the Hindu calendar horoscope rather than zodiac predictions.

“I believe in horoscopes as the predictions have come true for me. I even consulted horoscopes before my wedding.”

On a lighter note, Sandil, a prominent blogger, said that he subscribes to daily horoscope alerts over the Internet, but doesn’t have a very strong belief in them.
“Certain sets of correlations occur, but those could be purely coincidental. Horoscopes just help my idea of classifying people.”

Belief in horoscopes eventually is all a matter of faith. If it makes one happy to believe that random words strung together might coincidently come true, then good luck with life!
