Kashmir and Ladakh region got some reprieve from cold wave on Friday as the night temperatures went up by several notches, despite staying below the freezing point in many places.
A MeT Department official said Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of minus 0.8 degree Celsius, slightly up from the previous night’s minus 1.2 degrees. Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded minus 3.8 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature in Pahalgam hill resort rose to minus 5.4 degrees.
