BJP trying to defer BBMP polls?

 
According to sources, two of the State ministers from Bangalore and some BJP MLAs are trying to explore options to postpone the polls. They held a secret meeting with legal experts in this regard.The legal experts are learnt to have suggested them to file a special leave petition before the SC  challenging the reservation of wards. Presently, the reservation has been fixed based on the population of an Assembly constituency.

As per the constitution, the entire BBMP population has to be considered while fixing it, legal experts learnt to have said. The leaders may ensure that the SLP is filed in the SC if the CM gives his consent to it, sources said.
