The High Court on Friday stayed the demolition of the portion of the compound wall and a few other structures of Esteem Mall on Ballari Road for two weeks.
Hearing the petition filed by Esteem Mall, Justice B V Nagarathna ordered a further stay till March 27.
The petitioner had moved the Court over the decision of Special land Acquisition officer and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for demolishing a portion of the compound wall and a few other structures of the mall on March 7 without issuing a notice.
NHAI had issued notice to the petitioner only directing them to hand over the possession of the acquired land within three days but began the demolition on March 7.
