The district BJP staged protest demanding CBI probe into the mysterious death of the IAS officer D K Ravi here at Clock Tower.

Speaking on the occasion BJP district president alleged that the strong decisions taken by the bureaucrat, in fact posed problems to the Congress led State government. The statements issued by the congress leaders including the Chief Minister have raised many suspicions.

He said the alleged suicide has put the entire State into anguish and people are worried about the safety of the honest officials.

The death has proved that there is no room for the committed and transparent officers.
The bureaucrat who sacrificed himself for the honesty has suffered six transfers in his six years of service. The Home Minister should be held responsible, he demanded.

Alleging that the State government puts tremendous pressure on the officials, the politician said the statements issued by the police chief M N Reddy is contradictory.

He declared the death as the act of suicide, even before the body was taken to the hospital for post mortem. The government’s decision to transfer the CID chief Mohanty and appointing Prathap Reddy is his place is another aspect that raises several doubts.

He lamented that there is no future for the officials who are honest and transparent.
The BJP spokesperson Mattar Ratnakar Hedge said that the bureaucrat was not a coward man to commit suicide.

He had taken up the wrath of the many people to protect the interest of the public and poor. He is the great man who fought for the truth and justice.  He alleged that the State government is unwilling to accept the fact that he was killed.

The government, which is totally corrupt, will not spare any efficient officer. The people have lost the confidence in the State government.
