The road work was sanctioned under Pradhanmanthri Grameena Sadak Yojane. The residents submitted a memorandum to PMGSY Engineer and Tahsildar on the occasion.
Addressing a press meet, Seethoor Gram Panchayat President Y S Ganesh said the government had sanctioned road work at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. With the completion of the road work, the distance to taluk headquarters will be reduced by 10 km. Hindrances are common for any developmental works. The developmental works must be undertaken after solving the hindrances, he added.
