MCJ students stage protest against lecturer

The protesters alleged that one of their lecturers has been harassing them mentally and dividing them on the grounds of caste and religion, and urged that he should be kept under suspension.

The in-charge VC of the university Prof K K Achary assured the students of conducting a Syndicate meeting in another 2-3 days and take a decision on disciplinary action against the lecturer. Registrar (Administration) Prof K Chinnappa Gowda too promised that the issue would be solved in a week. The lecturer is said to have gone on a week’s leave. Meanwhile some students did not support the protestors.
