Love Jihad case in HC

 Hearing a petition by Selvaraj, a resident of Chamrajanagar, who had moved the Court after the police failed to trace his daughter, who eloped and married a Muslim youth of Kannur in Kerala, the division bench comprising Justice K Sreedhara Rao and Justice Ravi B Mallimath has directed the Police to submit the final report within six weeks.

The petitioner had submitted that his daughter was the victim of ‘Love Jihad’ movement, which involves luring of girls from other communities by Muslim youths and converting them to Islam.
