JOIN USThe work on Road overbridge on National Highway at BC Road is complete and the bridge is likely to be open for vehicular movement in June.
The residents hope that the opening of the RoB will help in overcoming the traffic congestion.
The RoB work is being carried out for the last one and half years. However, the traffic congestion at B C Road is order of the day at any given point of time.
The RoB is being constructed on Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway. The delay in completing the work had a cascading impact on traffic at B C Road Junction where vehicles from various destinations come at a halt. Presently, all the vehicles have to move on a narrow road, thus affecting the traffic.
NHAI official K A Khan and Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar visited B C Road to review the traffic and have promised to throw open the RoB for vehicular movement after the gram panchayat polls.
The NHAI officials has also promised to construct a small circle for the benefit the vehicles travelling to Mangaluru-Bengaluru, Mangaluru-Puttur, Mangaluru-Dharmasthala, B C Road-Konaje, B C Road-Moodbidri, B C Road- Sarapady, B C Road-Panolibail.
