'Kidology', aims to incorporate Western, Indian and fusion inspirations for young kids in the age group of 0-7 years and will showcase multi- designer outfits from fashion heavyweights like Ritu Kumar, Malini Ramini, Gauri and Nainika and Gaurav Gupta created especially for children.

"It's a first of it's kind thing in India, we felt the segment was in void. When I was in London the demands from kids for Play stations started changing to designer dresses and clothes because you don't get it here," Ankur Mittal, Promoter of 'Kidology' told PTI.
"Our logic is to provide kids with a style option. Our clothes will range from Rs 1500-8000 and there will be something for everyone," he added.

The designers will also provide clothing options for expecting mothers.
"We have also launched handbags, headbands and a collection for expecting mothers for all nine months. The good thing about the maternity wear is you can wear it post-pregnancy as well," Mittal said.

'Kidology' also has an in-house German designer Maya Nocon, who admits that sizing was a big problem while designing for Indian kids.
"It's something new here and sizing was a big problem for me since sizes in India differ from their European counterparts," she said.

"We have used a lot of bamboo in our in-house designs which is very environment and skin friendly. We found that not many players have experimented with it for kids. Apart from it, organic cotton has also been used in our clothes," Nocon added.
'Kidology', now plans to take the kids style movement forward by venturing into furnishings, accessories and launching more stores.

"As we grow we want to take it outside Delhi, we'll go for franchises as well as shop in shops and might take this internationally. We'll expand the age group to ten years-old and Maya is researching really hard to find the right trends but seriously its for someone who's looking for style," Karina Rajpal, co-promoter of 'Kidology' said.
