Two held for robbery, loot worth Rs 4L recovered

Two persons, who had robbed two men, including a software engineer recently, have been arrested by the Parappana Agrahara police.

The suspects have been identified as Kumaraswamy, 31, a resident of Venkateshwara Layout, Koodlu; and Arul, 32, of JP Nagar slum on Gottigere Main Road.

The police recovered lethal weapons, a car, two cellphones, Rs 1,500 in cash, an LED TV, all valued at Rs 4.25 lakh, from them.

Threatened at knifepoint
According to the police, the duo accosted Lentin Verghese, a software engineer, who was returning from Electronics City on a bicycle near the Hosa Road Junction on June 6. They threatened him at knifepoint and snatched his valuables and bicycle and fled in a car, said the police.

They came to the same place on June 7 and spotted Prasanna Mayanadi on Hosur Main Road. Mayanadi was waiting for his friend to travel to Erode in Tamil Nadu. The duo threatened him by brandishing lethal weapons and robbed him of his cellphone and Rs 5,000 in cash, added the police.

Based on a complaint filed by Mayanadi, the police collected details about the two and arrested them in JP Nagar.
