Daimler begins truck export to Cambodia

Last Updated 22 June 2015, 19:39 IST

Truck and bus manufacturer Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) on Monday announced that it has begun exporting trucks to Cambodia.

The company said that Cambodia is its 13th overseas market, and added that while most of the current export markets require right-hand drive vehicles, the Cambodian market needs left-hand drive vehicles.

“Under the umbrella of Daimler Trucks Asia, DICV and Mitsubishi Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) have combined their strength to tap into further sales potential. While DICV focuses on the Indian market and countries such as Nepal, that are related to the Indian market conditions,” a statement said.

MFTBC will service the rising demand in the Asian and African regions with its existing portfolio of Mitsubishi-Fuso trucks from its plant in Kawasaki and the Fuso trucks produced in Oragadam.
