KSCA drub Vidarbha to move into final

 KSCA XI set up a title clash with Dr DY Patil Academy in the Dr (Capt) K Thimmappaiah memorial all-India invitational tournament after their seven-wicket win over Vidarbha Cricket Association on the fourth and final day of their semifinal at the Chinnaswamy stadium here on Tuesday.

Resuming at their overnight score of 102 for six in their second innings, a lead of just 36 runs, Vidarbha lost their remaining four wickets while adding just 13 runs. Paceman Abhimanyu Mithun, who had taken three wickets on the third day to push the visitors to the brink of defeat, added one more victim to his tally for figures of 4/38 while Zeeshan Ali Sayyed hasted their demise by claiming 3/15.

That KSCA XI with 50 runs to make for an outright win but the hime team appeared to be making a heavy weather of their small target before reaching 52/3 in 12 overs.

On Monday, DY Patil had defeated Haryana Cricket Association by six wickets in a low-scoring match to move into the summit clash.

The four-day final will be played at the Chinnaswamy from Friday.  
Brief scores: At Chinnaswamy Stadium: Vidarbha Cricket Association: 352 all out and 115 all out in 38 overs (Abhimanyu Mithun 4-38, Zeeshan Ali Sayyed 3-15) lt to KSCA XI: 418 all out and 52/3 in 12 overs.
