<p>A combined 61 Cavalry and Remount Veterinary Corps (RVC) team edged past Army Service Corps and Indian Navy Polo and Equestrian Club (INPEC) 6.5-6 in the eight-goal Bangalore Polo Cup, which is the final leg of the Bangalore Polo Season, at the Agram ground on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The tournament features players with high handicaps from different teams who combine to represent a single team. ASC and INPEC came into the match with a handicap of plus six while 61 Cav and RVC were handicapped at plus five, thereby gaining a 1.5 goal advantage.<br /><br />61 Cav and RVC added to this advantage by racing to a three-goal lead with the scores at 4.5-0 at the end of the first chukker after Dfr Vijay Singh, Capt Aman Singh and Maj Arjun Patil scored. <br /><br />From there on, ASC and Indian Navy put up a valiant effort and scored six goals in the next two chukkers while conceding just once. Cdr Akhil Sirohi scored three goals, Maj Prithvi Singh found the target a couple of time and Col NS Khera got a solitary goal. Aman Singh scored the only goal for the 61 Cav-RVC team leaving the scores at 6-5.5 in favour of ASC-INPEC. It was Aman again who did the star turn for while scoring the only goal of the fourth chukker to give 61 Cav-RVC a narrow win by half a goal at the final bugle.</p>
