BJP bash holds up traffic

Last Updated 30 January 2010, 19:12 IST

Lalbagh Main Gate, Siddaiah Circle (Krumbigal Road), Vani Vilas Road and other roads witnessed major traffic jams after the convoy of BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, CM  B S Yeddyurappa and other VIPs headed towards the venue. The impact of the traffic snarls were felt even at Navrang Circle on Rajkumar Road in the evening.

Eshwarappa, the man of the evening, was probably best articulate while criticising the Opposition for doubting BJP's secular credentials. When he spoke on the increase in budgetary allocation for the minorities, the audience roared in applause.

The gathering listened carefully to Eshwarappa's address, but as soon as Nitin Gadkari took over the microphone and began to address them in chaste Hindi, people started dispersing. Several middle rows lied empty during his address.
