Asad stars for Shantinagar CC

Asad’s 143 spurred Shantinagar Cricket Club to a massive 144-run victory over Merchants Cricket Club in the KSCA Group I, Division IV league cum knockout tournament for the Metro Shield.

Batting first, Shanthinagar CC rode on Asad’s knock to post a challenging 301/8 in 50 overs. Ramesh P also chipped in with a useful knock of 52.

Merchants CC’s batsmen struggled throughout their innings as the Shanthinagar bowlers piled on the pressure.

Rajesh (3/27), Niranjan (2/35) and Sanil (2/8) contributed to the wickets tally as Merchants folded for 158 in 41 overs.

In another game, Hoskote Cricket Club recorded a four wicket win over Crescent cricket club.

Battingfirst, Crescent CC could only manage  145 before being bowled out in the 43rd over. Ajay (3/30) and Anand (3/28) were the top performers for Hoskote, while Harsha stood out for Crescent with a valuable 47.
