Homegrown mobile devices manufacturer Swipe Technologies on Tuesday launched its latest mobile operating system platform — Freedom OS - V1.1 — a set of updates exclusively for the users of its Swipe Elite smartphones.
The company, which claims to hold 10 per cent of the tablet market in India, has forayed into smartphones with the Swipe Elite, and had already launched the earlier variant of the Freedom OS last month.
According to Swipe Technologies’ Founder and CEO Shripal Gandhi, “The Freedom OS is a visually intelligent user interface that allows a person access to custom themes and features.” The handset comes with 1.3-Ghz quadcore processors, 2 GB RAM, and 16 GB ROM, and will be available on Flipkart from September 25.
