Mamata's first day in office

Banerjee did not waste anytime and went straight to the Bhawan after the swearing-in ceremony and held meeting with the officers including Railway Board Chairman S S Khurana.
She was reportedly briefed about the current situation of Railways with regard to the train operations and freight movement.

Later, she told reporters that Railway budget will be presented in the first week of July. While passenger amenities and security will be her priorities, she will also focus on improving the revenues.
