Sensitive areas
Stating that the State government has decided to set up RAF batallion in the sensitive areas of Mangaluru, he said  “A report has been sent to the Central Home Department on the land identified for the purpose. The batallion will be restricted to the State,” he added.

In addition to it, two India reserve batallions will come up at Davangere and Tumakuru respectively. The land has already been acquired for the purpose, he stated.

Praising Mangaluru city police and Dakshina Kannada district police, the ADGP Alok Mohan, said that the police ensured that no untoward incidents occurred during Mangaluru Dasara procession on Friday night, in which more than one lakh people had
