Woman jumps to death from water tank

A 26-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping off a 90-foot water tank near Ganesha Temple in Nelamangala town on Monday.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Vijetha.  She had separated from her husband Naveen, a private firm employee, due to personal differences a year ago.
She was residing with her parents in Nelamangala after separation.

The couple entered into wedlock six years ago and had a four-year-old daughter.  On Monday evening, she left home and went near the water tank on her two-wheeler. She climbed on top of the water tank and jumped to her death. The security guards in and around the area found her body lying in a pool of blood. A resident the locality identified the body and informed her parents.

Declared dead

Vijetha was rushed her to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead.  Vijetha’s parents have lodged a complaint against Naveen accusing him of abetting her suicide. They claimed that she was very depressed after separating from her husband.
A case of abetment to suicide has been registered.
