Winners all the way!

The International Affairs Association of The University of Pennsylvania, a leading Ivy League institution, hosted The Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC) India in New Delhi.

The international MUN symposium was held from November 26 to 29. This year ILMUNC India brought together close to 500 delegates from various countries including Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Korea and Japan.

The conference had eight distinct committees ranging from fourth generation warfare and war ethics of drones to Constellis and Syrian govt 2020.

Eminent persons including Meera Sanyal, former CEO of Royal Scottish Bank India, and Gurucharan Das, famous author, thinker and ex MD of P&G Global, shared their thoughts on how young minds can change the world. The delegation of National Public School Koramangala emerged victorious winning several accolades.

Representing Iraq, Amon Bhattacharya K of 11th grade won the Outstanding Delegate Award in the General Assembly VI – Legal and Muhammad Aamir Anees of 10th grade won the Outstanding Delegate Award in the General Assembly IV – Specialised political and decolonisation committee.

The dynamic NPS Koramangala delegation comprising Amon Bhattacharya K, Muhammad Aamir Anees, Ryan Bhattacharya and Vikram Shekar showcased skills of debating, diplomacy and wide knowledge of the agendas discussed which won them the Best Small Delegation Trophy.

The students experienced a competitive level of debate and discourse in these four days. It was a professional collegiate experience for the high school students, imbibing in them a sense of diplomacy and deep understanding of international affairs.
