The Mangalapadavu-Kodapadavu Link Road, which has not been repaired for the last five years, has become a nightmare to the vehicle riders, students and general public.

The road, which passes through Mangalapadavu-Banari and connects Kodapadavu at Vittlapadnooru village, is unfit for the movement of people and the fate of vehicles has been the worse, the public and the vehicles users in the area said.

The locals alleged that the MP, district in-charge minister, MLAs, Zilla, Taluk and Gram Panchayat members have turned a blind eye to the road’s condition, even after several requests were submitted to them seeking the road repair work. The elected representatives were last seen during the election, they charged.

Short stretch
Through Vittal-Mangalapadavu Road, it takes only five km distance travel to Kodapadavu.

But from the last five years, hundreds of vehicles have to cover a distance of 11 km by travelling through Majioni-Kelinja Road, they poured out woes.

Vittlapadnooru Gram Panchayat member Saravu Siddiq said District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai has been urged to take up the development work of the road soon.
