Call centre employee, driver killed in accident

The victims were Pavithra (21) from Lottegollahalli and Srinivas (45) from Kamakshipalya. The accident occurred when Pavithra and five of her colleagues were on their way to their office at Bellandur.

A tanker driver rammed his vehicle into the median and thereafter hit their Tata Sumo. Pavithra and Srinivas were killed on the spot, while two of her colleagues sustained minor injuries.

Bike-borne raiders rob 2
An elderly woman and a doctor were robbed in separate incidents since Wednesday night.
Two men on a motorcycle followed Shantamma (60), a resident of ISRO Layout accosted her on 10th Main Road, snatched her gold chain worth Rs 60,000 and fled.
In another incident, two youths robbed Dr Rajeshwari who was returning home from her clinic in JP Nagar 7th Phase. The suspects riding a bike snatched her chain worth Rs 40,000 and absconded.

TV staffer found dead
Narayan, employee of a private television channel was found dead in a stream in Nagasandra on Thursday afternoon. The body had marks of injury.
