It will be dedicated to Krumbiegel- the ace landscape artist of Lalbagh and noted architect, Horticulture Department, Joint Director Jagadeesh M, told Deccan Herald.

The Glass House will have a replica of Krumbiegel, where the base will be 30x20 sq feet and 25 feet high. Also the whole of Lalbagh will be decorated with various floral forms. A 7,000 sq-feet floral vertical garden will be created on the periphery of the Glass House. This vertical garden will not use shade net, but will have a floral carpet, Jagadeesh said.

A total of 30,000 large pots and five lakh saplings will be used for the flower show, of which two lakh saplings and 18 large pots will be used for creating Krumbiegel house.

Another first this time is that cut flowers will not be used for decorations and instead Over 15 varieties of potted flowers will be used. They have been planted in such a way that they will all bloom together on the day first day of the flower show.

The department is yet to prepare the financial estimates of the international flower show. Invitations have been extended to experts from Germany to take part in the event.
The German representatives will also organise a flower show in Krumbiegel's memory in March, 2016.
