The Income Tax Department has set up a control room to keep tabs on movement of huge amount of cash and other valuables in the run up to byelections for three Assembly constituencies in the State.
The information on such movement of heavy cash could be given on the toll free number 1800- 425- 7707 or to Principal Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Bengaluru, according to a press release.
Byelections are being held for Hebbal (Bengaluru), Devadurga (Raichur district) and Bidar Assembly constituencies.
The polling is scheduled for February 13.
