A 23-year-old man died and four others of his family were injured in a LPG cylinder blast at their house in Vinayak Nagar in Hebbagodi on Sunday morning.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ambarish. The family supplied tea and coffee to employees in factories located in Hebbagodi.

On Saturday night, Anusuyamma had not switched off the regulator properly after preparing dinner. The next morning, around 5.30, she went to the kitchen to make tea. When she turned the kitchen light on, the LPG cylinder exploded, setting the room on fire. A wall collapsed on Ambarish, who was sleeping next to the kitchen.
