Bangalore Pet Show on February 28

The third edition of Bangalore Pet Show-2016 will be held on February 28 at the Jayamahal Palace Hotel in the City.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, event director M Satya Narayan said the theme this year would be ‘Focus on Indian native dog breeds’.

Some exotic cat, bird and fish species will also be a part of the show, which aims at educating pet lovers on how to acquire rare pets, besides helping them meet each other and share their experiences.

Event co-ordinator Ikram Khan said that this year, sideshows will be organised in the morning session and repeated in the evening.

Talk show, quizA talk show by canine behaviourist C V Franklin, a quiz for children, a martial art demonstration by grandmaster Praveen Ranka’s Martial Arts Trust, beat-boxing display and other attractions will entertain visitors on the sidelines.

“We will follow all the guidelines and rules of the Animal Welfare Board of India and ensure the welfare of pets is uppermost during the show,” Khan added.
