
The Southern Region Pipelines of Indian Oil Corporation on Wednesday organised a technical seminar on ‘Mass Flow Meters for Custody transfer in Petroleum Pipelines’ in Chennai.
B D Yadav, Executive Director (Operations & Projects) Pipelines Head Office Noida, inaugurated the seminar, which was aimed at showcasing the latest mass flow metering technologies, and the various challenges in the implementation of mass flow metre-based custody transfer, brought together senior technocrats from across the various divisions of IndianOil, CPCL Refinery, leading manufacturers of mass flow meters, flow control, and Research Institute Palakkad and renowned academicians from IIT, Madras.
H P Sahi, Executive Director (ERPL) delivered the theme address. Technical papers highlighting the significance and benefits of automation in the area of custody transfer of petroleum products were presented at the conference.
