Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who held a pre-budget meeting with farmer leaders and representatives on Saturday, said that it would be difficult for the State government to waive crop loans entirely.
Siddaramaiah, however, said that he would try his best to incorporate some of the demands of the farmers in the budget this year.
The farmer representatives, including Kadidal Shamanna and others, submitted a representation with 68 demands, including scientific pricing, fixing of price for sugarcane, resolving the Kalasa Banduri issue, implementation of G S Paramashivaiah report, among others.
