Eclectic acts

Concert

A series of musical acts will take place from March 3, 9 pm, at blueFROG, Church Street. ‘Blues Before Sunrise’, a blues and funk band, will perform on March 3.

The band features Sidharth Gopalan on the guitar, harmonica and vocals, Claude Loren on drums and percussion, Sheela Sequeira on vocals and Jatin Shetty on the bass.

‘Blues Before Sunrise’ is one of Bengaluru’s foremost blues bands and though their style is primarily influenced by the blues, there are elements of funk, jazz and soul which keep their shows entertaining.

DJ Kan-i will spin commercial and hip-hop tunes on March 4. KAN-i is considered as one of the best DJs India has seen in the past decade.

He has evolved a unique style of his own which blends hip-hop, RnB, dance, house and electro House — an urban contemporary style into one wicked package for his audience. He has opened for international artistes like Grammy award-winning Chamillionare Wyclef Jean, Kardinal Offishal, Apache Indian and Jay Sean.

Techno DJ Troy Pierce will perform on March 5. He was infected with the dance music bug as a child. Since then, he has developed into a pillar of the modern techno community. His sound has constantly veered from dense, layered and abstract music to pulsating tunes.

His sonic palette is one that draws from an array of influences and reaches far outside the confines of the studio and into an otherworld entirely.
