In an interview with Nina C George, Vinay talks about why he chose the project.<br /><br />What got you to sign ‘Run Antony’?<br /><br />There’s a certain freshness about the subject. The makers have attempted to come up with a new genre, in the backdrop of a love story. It’s a thriller and is sure to keep the audience at the edge of their seats.<br /><br />We hear it’s a team of young people and fresh faces.<br /><br />Yes, it is. Most of the cast and crew are below 30 and this is what has made the project truly special. There’s room for new talent, a new wave of thinking and some fresh insights.<br /> <br />Was it easy to slip into your character?<br /><br />I play the role of Antony and yes, I must say it didn’t take me too long to get under the skin of the character. The more I heard the script, the easier it was for me to adapt to the requirements of the role. I have also changed my appearance for this film.<br /><br />Can this fit into the category of new-age cinema?<br /><br />The team has tried to present everything — the story, use of technology, conceptualisation of characters, screenplay and the suspense elements — in a different way. Every scene offers a new twist to the tale and nothing is predictable.<br /><br />Did Puneeth play a part in choosing this script?<br /><br />Both Puneeth and my father liked the script. Puneeth has always asked me to only work on projects that I am convinced about and go by my instincts. He has always motivated me to work hard.<br /><br />You don’t seem to be in a hurry to grab work.<br /><br />I want to work at my pace and not rush into anything. I am not here to make money or chase fame. I am following my dreams.<br /><br />How has your father influenced you?<br /><br />My father is very supportive and is always willing to take risks. He was more than willing to produce this project even though it features new talents.</p>
