Among five states going to polls, Assam would be closely watched. Here the fight is between the BJP and the ruling Congress which is in power for 15 years.
The poll campaign has started to gather momentum. This time around it has been a poster and cartoon war between the two parties. While Kanhaiya Kumar of JNU and late Rohith Vemula of Hyderabad University, have turned poster boys for the Congress in Assam, the BJP has taken to cartoons and graffiti on Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to hit back.
The Congress has launched a poster and hoarding series on both Kanhaiya Kumar and Rohith Vemula across the state attacking Prime minister Narendra Modi.
