The 125th birth anniversary of architect of the Constitution of India, Babasaheb B R Ambedkar, will be celebrated at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Wednesday.
This is the first time the birth anniversary of the Dalit rights activist is being organized at the UN headquarters in New York. “Babasaheb’s birth anniversary to be observed at UN for 1st time with focus on combating inequalities to achieve SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals),” India’s Permanent Representative to United Nations, Syed Akbaruddin, posted on Twitter".
The Permanent Mission of India to the UN in New York along with Kalpana Saroj Foundation and Foundation for Human Horizon will organize the event.
