UK team visits Lourdes school

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Principal of the school Grace Noronha said that the team comprising four teachers from Pilton the Bluecoat Church of England Junior School in Barnstaple, Devon, UK, has visited Mangalore for the second time in two years, as part of a partnership with Lourdes Central School. The delegation comprises of Deputy Head Teacher of the Pilton the Bluecoat Church of England Junior School Rhian Nicolas, GSP coordinator Ian Thomas, Amanda King and Ann Gregory.

Speaking to reporters Nicolas expressed her awe towards their partner and wished it was a friendship for a life time. Thomas informed that the delegation learned a lot of things from their visit at Lourdes and looked forward to the visit next year.

The Global partnership programme involves four years of partnership between schools from different parts of the world enabling each to know about the culture, life style and values of each other, at the same time sharing curricula and knowledge.

A delegation from Lourdes Central School had visited Devon for the last two years and with this visit from UK delegation, the score is even. Manager of LCS Fr Tauro, PTA President Ivan D’Souza and Vice Principal  were present .
