<p>At present there are only 220 outlets in the City. Horticulture Minister Umesh Katti, on Monday, said Bangalore City needs at least 1,000 tonnes of vegetables a day. As of now HOPCOMS outlets have capacity to take about 300 tonnes a day. If 400 more outlets are set up, HOPCOMS can provide 1,000 tonnes of vegetables to Bangaloreans, Katti added.<br /><br />The issue has also been discussed with the Chief Minister, he added. Katti said that he had asked his officers to file a detail report on sudden fall of tomato prices. “As of now there is no need to announce support price for tomato”, he said.</p>
