<div>A top executive in a well-known firm, who drove his BMW into an auto-rickshaw and injured four people in eastern Bengaluru on Saturday night, was arrested on Tuesday, but released on bail later. <br /><br />The jurisdictional Indiranagar Traffic police arrested Samrat Chadha at his home in Vignanagar and interrogated him for more than four hours about how the crash happened. <br /><br />He secured bail, but has been summoned for further questioning, a senior police officer said and added that a report was being prepared on the accident. <br /><br />Chadha was drunk when he was driving the BMW at GM Palya near HAL. Soon after the accident, he was taken to the police station in a Hoysala patrol car. A constable guarded the BMW when an angry crowd tried to torch it. There was a large crowd at the place as a religious procession was being taken out, the officer said. <br /><br />Auto driver Sudhakar, and Manikanta, Manjunath, Govardhan, who were travelling in the three-wheeler, suffered injuries in the accident. They were treated at a private hospital and are out of danger. <br /></div>
