<p>R Suresh Kumar and S Arun Kumar, arrested yesterday in Bangalore, were part of an eight-member gang that fraudulently transferred the money belonging to one S Salahudeen, a Tiruchirappalli based businessman, using the internet last year, a Crime Branch-CID press release said.<br /><br />The CB-CID had last month arrested a Chennai-based engineer, who was identified as a member of the same gang.<br />The agency, which scrutinised Salahudeen’s bank accounts, found that the gang had withdrawn the money through the internet from Nigeria, Canada, Israel, Poland and Britain.<br />Investigations have revealed the role of some youths in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Maharashtra who are part of the gang, the release said.<br /><br />Woman found dead<br />A woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Chickkajala Police Station limits. The body of Putamma (55), who habitually consumed alcohol, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a well next to a cattle barn at her eldest daughter’s house, where she was living. The deceased was a former employee of the Forest Department. The younger daughter has complained of unrest between her mother and sister to police. On account of wounds suffered by Puttama, the police have lodged the complaint.</p>
