WIP, a concept-based store in the posh Meher Chand Market of South Delhi’s Lodhi Colony area, is based on the idea where shoppers can spend a relaxing time post shopping, have a sip of coffee, play engaging games like Jenga and try their delicious range of pizzas.<br /><br /></p>.<p>They have a limited four-pizza menu and a limited range of coffees, making it easier for visitors to make a choice. <br /><br />Located on the first floor of the store, WIP is spacious and quiet and is well lit with a comfortable seating arrangement.<br /><br />With its hospitable ambience, many visit the cafe to not just shop but also to spend <br />some quality time.<br /><br />So did Metrolife, on a drizzling Sunday morning, when the urge of trying a new spot to have coffee made us hop on to the cafe. At first, it was a bit confusing for us as to why an apparels and accessories store is clubbed with a cafe.<br /><br />Initially an online-only store, bhane. ventured into a physical space about a year ago. <br /><br />“The point was to communicate our story. What online offers, is omnipresent. But a physical space can provide people with a place where they can come and experience the brand. So we decided to have a cafe that corresponds to our clothes,” says Anand Ahuja, owner, bhane.WIP.<br /><br />“Again, the point wasn’t to compete with other cafes, but to provide people with a place they can spend more time and engage,” he adds.<br /><br />We started with a warm cup of cappuccino and cookies, something that went well with the cool weather. The cafe is entirely vegan. <br /><br />‘Classic Margarita’, ‘Olive and Pesto’, ‘Pear Rocket Ricotta’ and ‘Marinara with Rosemary Baby Potatoes’ are the four pizzas currently on their menu. <br /><br />With a thin and crispy base and the right combinations of spices and herbs, ‘Marinara with Rosemary Baby Potatoes’ turned out to be our favourite.<br /><br />However, the highlight of the cafe is its delightful range of ice creams, the flavours of which change according to the collections of bhane. <br /><br />every season.<br />‘Salty Caramel’ and ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ were our picks. We preferred to have the ice cream in the wooden bowl to over a cone, and it was definitely worth a try!<br />So, head to bhane.WIP, if it has been really long since you last spent quality time with yourself.<br /><br /></p>
