Assistant Commissioner Dr Prajna Ammembala said that revenue adalats have been held at the hobli-level in three taluks that come under the sub-division with the intention of speeding up the process of dispute resolution.

She was speaking at a campaign for Pahani revision held in the auditorium of the taluk office in the town on Monday. Already 1,629 cases have been disposed of and the orders have been issued to the farmers.

These farmers had to run from pillar to post in relation with their revenue cases. Such cases have been resolved in the revenue adalats, she said.

“From January 2015 till date as many as 1,629 cases have been resolved in Tiptur, Chikkanayakanahalli and Turuvekere taluks. Of these, 296 are higher appeals to the revenue department and 1,135 are related to differences in the Pahani columns 3 and 9. As many as 70 cases are related to violations of the Land Reforms Act and seven cases related to the Senior Citizens’ Maintenance Act. The orders have been passed after ensuring that there will be no miscommunication between the parties involved in the cases. The remaining 15 cases will be resolved before August,” she said.

As per the court order, 40 cases related to acquisition of land for the Tiptur bypass have been resolved. As many as 55 land owners have been compensated for the land acquired for NH 206. A proposal has been submitted to the deputy commissioner for allotting land for graveyards at the sub-division level in 23 cases.
