Siddu will be the last Congress CM in state, says BJP leader

Last Updated 21 July 2016, 17:46 IST
BJP Raitha Morcha state vice-president M P Renukacharya said the Congress government was instigating farmers’ suicide by implementing anti-farmer policies.

Speaking at a party programme here on Thursday, Renukacharya urged the state government to immediately announce scientific price for crops and waive loans borrowed by farmers. “The Narendra Modi government has introduced several programmes to help farmers in distress. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana is one such programme, where the beneficiaries will get compensation deposited directly to their bank accounts within 90-days of calamity,” he claimed.

Continuing his tirade against the Congress government, Renukacharya charged that the ministers and legislators were mired in controversies and had no time to think about people. “Farmers and honest officers are ending lives. Siddaramaiah will be the last chief minister of the Congress. The ‘anti-people’ policies of the government will prove disastrous for the party in the next elections,” he said.

He meanwhile expressed confidence that the BJP will come to power in the upcoming assembly elections. “BJP has waived loans of farmers twice. Also a grant of Rs 82 crore was sanctioned for the revival of tanks in Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts,” he claimed.
