Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, City Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar M said that the victim Richard Marian Lazrath had gone to Bharathpur to finalise a deal on four generators at the behest of his boss Arun D’Souza.

‘Satisfying operation’

After the police team started raiding various gangs, the gang that had kidnapped Lazrath had shifted him to seven places in and around Bharathpur and Mathura. The police have credible information on the gang that had abducted Lazrath and are confident of arresting them at the earliest, said Chandra Sekhar.

Earlier, the modus operandi of the gang was that the members would call rich influential businessmen on the pretext of selling gold bricks at cheap rates and later abduct them and demand money for their release.
