SA national held for forgery

The police arrested him at a lodge near Anand Rao Circle, on Wednesday, when he was forging dollars using chemicals.

The accused befriended Renukumar, who owns a pharmaceutical company, when they were flying to Mumbai on February 23. Nelson secured the details of the company. He promised Renukumar that he would invest $ 200 million (20 crore US dollars) in his company. He also suggested that he be taken as a partner in the company, said the police.
On March 2, Nelson flew to Bangalore from Mumbai and met Renukumar at his office in Nandini Layout. He promised Renukumar that he could convert three crore US dollars out of one crore US dollars for him.

Nelson claimed that using some chemicals he could convert white paper into genuine US dollars. Nelson converted one US dollar into three. He also asked Renukumar to check the genuiness of the dollars with the banks.
He asked Renukumar to bring one crore dollars which he would convert into three crore dollars.

Renukumar grew suspicious and alerted the police who laid a trap and arrested Nelson.
